Press the 4 color columns on the right side of the Touch screen.ī. Test the machine by printing the Print Quality Check Sheet (PQCS).Ī. If machine's display shows the message 'Paper Jam' go to CLEAN THE ENCODER STRIP.ġ5. If the machine's display shows the date and time, go to step 15. Plug the power cord back into the power outlet. Reinstall paper tray 1 and 2 back into the machine.ġ4. If paper scraps were found and removed from the machine, go to step 13.ġ3. If you replaced the paper in the tray, go to step 13. If you do not have replacement paper, follow the rest of this solution, after you have replaced the paper. To resolve the issue, the paper in tray 1 must be replaced. If the paper is slightly curled, the print head will catch the edge of the paper and tear it. If no paper scraps were found inside the machine, then the issue appears to be a result of the paper in paper tray 1. Place the machine gently down onto the surface. Using a pair of tweezers, the paper scrap can be easily removed from the exit rollers.ġ2. (A flash light may need to be used if you are having trouble locating the paper scrap).ġ1. Look in-between each of the black exit rollers for a piece of stuck scrap paper. Look inside the tray areas roof of the machine and a row of black rollers will be aligned across. Using your hand, lift the front of the machine approximately 6 inches off the surface.ĩ. Place one of your hands under the machine's display and into the opening of machine where the paper tray was.Ĩ. Remove both paper trays from the machine.ħ. Gently push the green scanner cover support down and then close the cover.Ħ. After removing all of the paper scraps, close the scanner cover by lifting the scanner cover to release the lock.
Look inside the machine and remove any jammed paper. Turn the machine around and open the jam clear cover (1). The print head can be moved manually with hand to assist with removing all of the paper scraps.Ĥ.
Look for and remove any small pieces of paper that may be stuck inside the machine. Lift the scanner cover using the plastic tabs, located on the left and right side of the machine until it locks securely into the open position. Unplug machines power cord from the power outlet.
